Coaching With Symbai Alongside Existing Commitments
Symbai recruits experienced debate coaches to lead structured online cohorts.
We recognise that many strong coaches already work within academies, schools, or university programmes. For that reason, Symbai coaching agreements are non-exclusive.
If you currently coach elsewhere, you remain free to continue all existing commitments.
We simply require confirmation that your work with Symbai does not conflict with any existing contractual obligations. Professional transparency is expected on all sides.
Our Mission
Symbai’s long-term mission is to help structured debate take root more deeply within education systems worldwide.
You can read more about that commitment on our mission page.
Live coaching supports that mission by ensuring our platform evolves through real debate practice, not just theory.
How Symbai Cohorts Operate
Live coaching is a deliberate part of Symbai’s model.
We do not run cohorts to maximise enrolment. We run them to stay embedded in real debate rooms — where pedagogy is tested under competitive pressure and where improvements can meaningfully shape the platform.
Symbai cohorts are structured programmes across defined ability levels and formats, bringing together debaters from different regions and competitive cultures.
We coach as a serious academy would: prioritising student growth, adapting tools when they serve learning, and setting them aside when they do not.
Cohorts are intentionally capped to preserve rigor, meaningful feedback, and genuine developmental standards.
When coaching reveals structural friction, that is where product refinement begins — not before. The gains made in live environments inform how Symbai evolves.
Professional Development and Transferable Learning
Coaches who work within Symbai gain first-hand experience with:
• Structured, data-rich coaching systems
• AI-enhanced argument mapping tools
• Measurable progress tracking
• Integrating technology into live debate environments
These insights are transferable.
Many coaches find that exposure to structured systems and evolving tools strengthens their broader coaching work — whether within academies, schools, or universities.
Symbai is designed to complement serious coaching environments, not compete with them.
Our Professional Standards
We expect:
• No breach of existing contractual obligations
• Clear communication regarding potential conflicts
• Respect for academy and institutional relationships
Symbai operates to the same professional standard.
We will never ask you to redirect existing students toward Symbai, disclose proprietary academy materials, or act in ways that undermine your current commitments. Your independent coaching relationships remain yours.
Open Conversation
If you have questions about how Symbai fits alongside your existing commitments, we are happy to discuss them before you apply.
Professional alignment matters. We prefer clarity at the outset.
